I know I say it every month, but good Lord it’s already August?! I’m holding on to my hair mist for dear life because this year is just simply moving too fast. I’ve already seen pumpkins and Christmas decor in Hobby Lobby. We still have over a month left of summer folks! Summer ain’t over until we start singing that Earth, Wind & Fire song. (September 21st for my younger friends who may not catch the song reference!)
Hair Mist Lake Days
Until then, you can catch me at the lake. Living in Dallas, the closest beach is all the way in Galveston, about 4.5 hours away. Not a terrible drive, but if you have one day to spend in the sun, you don’t want to be driving more than 30 minutes. Thankfully, we are surrounded by lakes! I grew up going to the lake. My mother would always call us “lake rats.” Normally I find rats absolutely disgusting, but I find this term endearing.
However, the lake is not the best smelling. Ha! So Hair Shots comes in clutch real quick. Who wants stinking lake hair? Not me – it’s a lake day must have! This weekend we spent time at the lake and I next to my bottle of sunscreen, you would find my bottle of Asian Green hair mist. This is what I wish the lake would smell like everytime I go. This super fresh and clean scent, which feels like a rainforest in my hair, is the only I fully truly at ease when I’m cruising on the boat or floating in a tube. That, and a tall glass of flavored sparkling water. Hello world, I am now a lake queen. Not to mention, in a time when most summer activities are closed or shut down, the lake is very much open – our real summer relief.
